MTC has mastered the art of tea with blends that feel both soulful and modern not to mention the ritual with their teapots and tea spoons. And I love rituals especially when you want to wind down and have a bit of pazzazz at the end of a long day in Nairobi.
Over the years so far I have tried some and below are my favourites so far:-
Railway Roast is earthy and comforting, perfect for daily sipping.
African Petrichor is smooth and evocative, like rain-soaked earth in a cup, exactly as the word petrichor defines.
Mawimbi Dance bursts with tropical brightness, while Menthe du Maroc refreshes with a calming, herbal lift.
Tehmeena, the mastermind and tea sommelier behind MTC recently told me about the new brews and let me just say that the Baridi Brews take it further—cold, clean, and vibrant, ideal for on-the-go or mocktails, I am looking forward to the summer months when I can indulge in these and not fill guilty.
Our Teenage Son, enjoyed the baridi brews immensely. I am so glad he has these as an option, especially because he is now very conscious of sugar content intake etc.
Every cup feels intentional, rooted in heritage yet alive with creativity. And with the sustainable sourcing they are really get my vote.
